Hard Surface Cleaning
Lancashire Landscapes offer an industrial pressure-washing service on all hard surfaces including tarmac, concrete, paving slabs and block paving. Pressure-washing is an activity common to both landscape construction and estate maintenance duties and, as a consequence, all our staff have undergone training in the safe operation of high pressure water-jetting equipment.
We also undertake chemical control of moss, algae and mould as either an individual service or as a pre-cursor to pressure washing. Any employees applying such chemicals hold appropriate and legally-required qualifications from the National Proficiency Tests Council and are provided with appropriate protective equipment.
Planters, Hanging Baskets and Window Boxes
Lancashire Landscapes can provide planters, hanging baskets, tubs and window boxes to add seasonal colour around the exterior of buildings. We presently provide this service to schools, public houses, restaurants and homeowners. We can either supply and install the compost, fertilizer and plants in your own receptacles or provide full systems where the receptacles are rented out on a per-week basis. Colourful, vibrant flowering displays can be provided from May to September using annual plants such as Lobelia, Dichondra, Petunia and Begonia but need to be removed after the first Autumn frost. Where clients require year round colour more modest autumn, winter and spring displays can be produced using plants with good year-round foliage such as conifers and heather together with primulas, winter pansies and spring bulbs.
Fencing
Lancashire Landscapes can supply and install prefabricated fencing of any size and style and oF varying colours constructed from wood, metal, concrete or recycled plastic. We can also supply bespoke timber fencing specifically designed and constructed on site from sawn timber to meet your exact requirements. All our fencing is pre-treated to ensure complete weather-proofing and can incorporate gates of any size. Styles of fencing which can be installed include:

Garden Buildings
Lancashire Landscapes can supply a comprehensive range of prefabricated garden buildings to meets clients’ exact requirements. Buildings can range in size from small sheds to large garages, come with or without windows and be constructed from weatherproof wood, concrete, metal or plastic. We can install shelving as an optional extra. We can also construct shed bases and undertake any associated works such as excavation and construction of pathways.
Ornamental Metal Work
Our ornamental metal work division has produced a number of truly original works installed predominately in school and nursery landscapes. These include sun shelters in the shape of insects and plants, giant percussion instruments and water-based play equipment in which children can manipulate moving parts by pouring water. All our metal features are weatherproof and, with children’s safety foremost in mind, are safely secured, have no sharp edges and have no removable parts.
Minor Civils
We can offer small-scale civil engineering services including:
- Installation of kerbing
- Laying of bitmac or concrete surfacing
- Minor road and pathway repairs
- Construction of concrete plinths
- Construction of timber bridges
- Installation of drainage systems
If we feel that a particular civil engineering project is too large to handle in-house we can offer it on a sub-contract basis through a specialist reputable contractor.
Associated Works
In order to complete major landscape construction projects we often have to employ the services of other contractors and have consequently built up a strong network of reputable local firms. If we are unable to offer you services with our own in-house staff we can probably offer it on a sub-contract basis. Examples of such services include groundwork, large scale tarmac surfacing, civil engineering, waste removal, electrical work, plumbing work and masonry.
Our interface with contractors offering associated works also enables us to offer a project management function to oversee complete external works on small projects. In this way we can provide you with a single point of contact for projects employing multiple external trades and use our experience and expertise to prevent the all-too-common interface problems between contractors. If offering the service of ancillary trades on a subcontract basis we can also offer the benefit of central invoicing for the whole project.
